Kelly IT Resources on behalf of its client, a major western FMCG, with a strong presence in Russia is searching for Siebel Data Development & Validation Manager.

POSITION PURPOSE

  • Analyze the impact of new and evolving business requirements on the physical and logical schema and explore the feasibility of how to accommodate them. Ensure full alignment with standard Siebel data model and performance check. Manage external developers in order to implement the approved enhancements.
  • Follow up with external developers on problems & incidents related to data processes failures, ensure that the cause is identified and fixed.
  • Govern the data architecture in ETL & OLAP: star schemas, mapping, transformation rules, aggregations, slowly changing dimensions, etc.
  • Ensure the consistency in ETL processes used across markets and environments, achieve the automation of the data execution processes where applicable.

  • Provide support to the markets for the development of ETL / Data Archiving applications in the form of training, technical assistance, oversight and verification with the help of 3rd party.
  • Act as a global expert resource for any questions / issues in the field of ETL / Data Archiving development. Ensure proper transfer and expertise of ETL knowledge from/to specific project teams.
  • Define and drive the implementation of the data consolidation and loading strategy. Develop aggregation, purging and archiving procedures and standards and maintain them.
  • Work with the technical team on designing and fine tuning the physical and logical database schema as well as sizing the database from the performance point of view; initiate the changes required based on the performance monitoring results.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Work Experience:

  • 3+ years experience in Siebel Sales EIM configuration and deployment in large projects with an international manufacturing or industrial service company.
  • 3+ years experience in Informatica repository configuration and server management.
  • 4 + years technical design experience on enterprise applications and data modeling.
  • 3+ years of programming and administration experience with MS SQL databases including performance tuning.
  • 1+ years of MS DTS programming

Languages: Good working English must. Other language skills an asset.

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Design and implement the ETL development standards and procedures which satisfy corporate strategy and global & local business needs and are applicable to a multi-site, multinational organization; participate in implementing an effective tool to monitor and control the development services provided by the 3rd party; timely communicate the status update, important potentials issues & risks to Global Development Center management.
    Verify and approve the detailed technical designs for submitted the ETL changes, based on functional specs provided by Business Analysis group; validate the efforts estimates provided by 3rd party. Manage the external developers and ensure that the development of enhancements is completed, validated and delivered for functional & UAT testing, and the bugs are fixed and resolved timely
    Liase with Application and DB architects to maintain and govern the data architecture in OLTP, ETL & OLAP: staging tables, interfaces scripts, star schemas, mapping, transformation rules, aggregations, slowly changing dimensions, etc
  • Ensure the consistency in ETL processes used across markets and environments, achieve the automation of the data execution processes where applicable
  • Ensure that technical specs documentation is regularly maintained and updated by the 3rd party; implement a document management process for Company Siebel Development materials, specifications, manuals.
  • Design and implement Company Siebel ETL QA strategy, methods and approach for unit, integration and performance testing; plan and implement automated testing tools, build and maintain the library of testing cases.
